Isaac Weighted Blanket Review

UPDATE JUNE 2020:
Isaac Sleep has, unfortunately, closed down. The Isaac weighted blankets are no longer available. This review is kept only for historical purposes. We recommend choosing from our top-rated weighted blankets instead.

Our Isaac weighted blanket review will help you decide whether this really is the best weighted blanket in the UK.

In Short

The Isaac is a special type of duvet filled with glass beads aimed at people who suffer from anxiety, stress, or insomnia.

The weight of the beads will make it lay heavy on top on you as well as take the shape of your body. As you sleep, the added weight will make you feel as if you’re receiving a continuous hug, thus helping to relieve stress and anxiety.

The Isaac Blanket markets itself as one of the best weighted blankets with an unbeatable value. This review aims to find out if that’s true.

What You Need to Know

Isaac Weighted Blanket Reviews

The Isaac weighted blankets are a type of bedding especially made for adults suffering from insomnia, ADHD, stress, anxiety, and even autism. You have three options to choose from. The Isaac weighted blanket review looks at them all.

The Isaac Bundle that you can purchase in three different weights – 10lbs, 15lbs, and 20lbs. The weight depends on your own body mass. As a rule of thumb, always choose the one that is 10% your own bodyweight.

In the bundle, you will receive a weighted blanket, a cover, and an Oxford carry bag. The latter comes in Navy as opposed to the blankets and covers, which only come in grey. The blanket in itself is 60″ x 80″ (152cm x 203cm), and it’s made of high-quality cotton.

This has been the bundle option. But you can, of course, buy the separate items off their official website. Therefore, they also provide the Isaac Weighted Blanket sold separately. It will come in an Oxford carry bag of its own and it has the exact same size and weight options.

If you want you can also shop for the Isaac Weighted Blanket Cover. It’s 60″ x 80″ (152cm x 203cm) in size but it will not come in an Oxford carry bag. You might want to take this into account if you’re planning on giving the cover as a gift.

The cover is smooth on one side while the other is covered in sensory dots to match the benefits of the weighted blanket. It is also fitted with a zipper so that you can remove it easily enough and clean it in the washing machine.

It’s worth mentioning here that, as amazing as the weighted blankets are, these are the only three products they sell. Also, they only come in one colour – grey. While that is not a problem to many, some might consider it not fitting with their bedroom aesthetic.

UPDATE JUNE 2020:
Isaac Sleep has, unfortunately, closed down. The Isaac weighted blankets are no longer available. This review is kept only for historical purposes. We recommend choosing from our top-rated weighted blankets instead.

One of the most important things for the Isaac weighted blanket review is looking at the materials it’s made of as well as how finely it has been put together. So let’s see what the Isaac weighted blanket has to offer in this regard.

It’s is made of high-quality cotton that is odourless. This means you won’t have to air it out when you receive it, nor will you have to wash it before using it for the first time.

The cotton pockets are filled with glass beads which is what gives it its extra weight. This is a selling point for the Isaac weighted blanket because glass beads are far superior to plastic pellets which is what other blankets have inside.

Glass beads arrange themselves better in the pockets, have the ability to thermo-regulate, and are more environmentally friendly than plastic.

Every Isaac weighted blanket is constructed out of square pockets that have been filled with glass beads very evenly. This even distribution allows for the Deep Touch Pressure therapy to take place every time you use it.

The high quality stitching ensures that none of the beads will leak out of the blanket as long as you use it. However, you are required not to wash the inner blanket.

Price

The price of an Isaac weighted blanket depends on the weight you need and whether or not you would like to purchase a bundle or a single item. As follows.

As mentioned above, a weighted blanket on its own comes in three different weights to be able to accommodate people of all shapes and sizes. Therefore, the price depends on that as well. A 15lbs one costs £74.99 while a 20lbs one costs £79.99.

There is only one option for the cover because it will fit all Isaac Blankets and it costs £24.99. However, it does not include an Oxford carry bag and that is not available for purchase on its own.

You can also opt for a bundle. It comes in two weights and includes a weighted blankets, a cover, and an Oxford carry bag. The 15lbs option costs £94.99 while the 20lbs ones costs £99.99.

As always, prices were correct at the time we published our Isaac weighted blanket review, but please check their website for the latest prices.

How to Clean and Care

Isaac Weighted Blanket Care

The Isaac weighted blanket is not meant to be washed as per the brand’s own instructions. However, if you do want to remove stains from the inner, spot clean it.

Also, since this is an excessive load filled with glass beads, you are also not to clean it in the washing machine.

Instead, the brand recommends that you also purchase the cover that comes with it. In this way, you can keep the inner clean. The cover can be easily removed thanks to its zipper and it is machine-safe. Air dry it only so as not to ruin its texture.

Shipping, Warranty, and Returns

The Isaac brand does not have any brick and mortar stores. You can, however, order your weighted blankets via their official website.

The shipping is free, no matter what you choose to order. There is no minimum order and your items will be delivered in a standard time of 3 to 5 business days.

However, you can opt for expedited shipping which will bring the weighted blanket to your door in 1 to 2 days for only £1.99.

The company does offer refunds, but they are not guaranteed. Once you have requested a refund, the brand will analyse your request and answer within one and three business days. They will notify you whether or not your refund has been accepted.

Isaac Weighted Blanket Review – Conclusion

We have reached the end of the Isaac weighted blanket review, so it’s time to see how it measures up. The company offers high quality weighted blankets that will help you sleep better in case you suffer from anxiety or stress.

They use luxurious cotton as well as glass beads that can regulate the temperature of your body and which are environmentally friendly. However, it only comes in one colour and one design. This might be a little limiting to some.

The company also offers very fast shipping, which is free no matter what you choose to order. The Isaac website is full of very useful information on weighted blankets and their benefits for anxiety and autism, how to use them, and how they are made.

Given all this, as well as the wonderful reviews they have received on their Amazon UK page, we feel confident in recommending Isaac weighted blankets to you as a solution for better sleep.
